Club Group Rides
Many of our members enjoy riding with a group of cyclists at a similar level, in Group Rides or ‘club runs’. San Fairy Ann has many group rides designed to suit cyclists across a range of abilities.
Groups usually start at the same time each week (with adjustments in the summer or winter) and may vary their start location in liaison with group members.
You can move between groups – and we aim to have groups at virtually all levels to help people progress as they get better or recover as they get injured, older or a bit less fit.

All Group rides are social rides and aren’t competitive. We also take care to ensure we look after riders and give guidance to ride leaders and individuals on how to ride safely.

Non-Members
Group Rides
Non-members are welcome to just turn up and try a club ride for free twice before becoming a member!
You’ll get plenty of encouragement and advice, as we are a friendly bunch! We do advise, though, that if you’re at all unsure, you first try a level just below the one you think you’re capable of doing or join a Try-It-Out ride first.
Choosing a Group Ride
The San Fairy Ann Cycling Club has group rides on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays. We have 17 group rides that cover a pace from 9-20 mph and distances from 18-70 miles, so there is a group suitable for everyone. If you would like to discuss which group is best for you, please contact clubruns@sanfairyanncc.co.uk
The table below lists our club runs in order of average speed. A clearer hierarchy of ride levels, with clearer signposting, so that members can more easily choose a level and move between levels of club runs. On a desktop computer, you can use the filtering and sorting options to find the best ride and then find out more by tapping the link.
These are typical average speed ranges of the group rides; the actual speed will be dependent on terrain and weather. Winter rides are generally shorter and slower than summer rides.
Note: Riders should always check with their group as timing of rides may change due to inclement weather.
