SFA Novice Time Trials results

Results are in for the event on Saturday 20 April. Two hardy soles braved the chilly wind on the morning to face the timekeeper, John Longbottom and marshals Dean and Harry Chiddention.

For his first ever time trial Luke Abbs recorded a creditable 23:03 for the 6.5 mile course in the Laddingford/Yalding area. Having only recently bought a decent bike and following only a few Easyrides and Midweekers rides he can be well pleased with his ride and is looking forward to trying his hand on the Wednesday evening time trials when they start up in May, see schedule HERE.

Rob King managed to get his knees working well enough to record a time of 25:57, just 3 seconds slower than his best time last year.

The section of the course from Laddingford to Collier Street has been resurfaced with rather chunky stone chippings which makes smooth progress difficult and requires extra effort to keep your speed up so credit to Luke and Rob for posting good times.
