Free cycling training - online

We’ve heard about an exiting and FREE training course via British Cycling. It’s an online course, for 8 weeks, on Wednesday evenings, starting 14th September. You’ll train on your bike (a turbo or indoor bike) trained by an ex-professional cyclist.

The online course is hosted on Zoom and runs over an 8-week period, taking place on Wednesday evenings from 6-9pm. The course is divided into two sections, an online live teaching experience and live coaching sessions from our in-house ex-professional cyclist (a turbo trainer or static bike is required to participate). Between 6 and 8pm our cycling, sport and health tutors will explore a range of cycling fitness and performance related topics, including anatomy and physiology for cycling, nutrition for cycling and utilising data for improving cycling performance. Following on from that, the cycling coach will take you through the progressive 8 week online coaching programme, designed to put theory into practice on the bike.

For more information, including times and dates, please head over to https://www.sgscol.ac.uk/study/academic-sport/l1-cycling-fitness-and-performance The course is free of charge, subject to postcode and eligibility check upon application.
