THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

And their areas of responsibilities

The SFACC Board is elected on an annual basis by its members. Each election is for a 1 year term, and then members need to stand again for election. The rules for the election are laid out in our articles and rules - each member has one vote,  and we can have a Board of a maximum of 10 people. Other than the Chair, Directors don't stand for any specific role. Rather, once the Board has been elected, they meet together and divide out responsibilities between them, so that they collectively cover all aspects of the Club's work. Directors, like all of our volunteers, are unpaid. The President is not a Director, but is entitled to attend and contribute to all Board meetings. The President is also elected annually.
