This is the traditional end to the competitive side of the Kent Cycling Association’s year and an event which San Fairy Ann has won on numerous occasions. Please support the club by taking part and let's try and take the trophy once again in 2017!
Reliability Trials are very similar to Audax rides in that riders cover a set route within a certain time, being checked at the furthest points to remove any temptation to cut a corner.
Riders choose a distance and earn points for their club if they finish within the time allowed for that distance; 1 point for 50 kms in under 3 hours, 2 for 100 kms in under 5 hours and 4 points for 100 miles in under 7 hours.
The Trophy is presented to the club with the highest total so please do not be too optimistic with your choice of distance and also allow time for refreshments at Pat’s place at Lashenden and possible mechanical problems.
NOTE: The Claygate start and finish point used in previous years has now moved to the Church Car Park at Collier Street.
There are 3 distances to chose from:
CHURCH CAR PARK
St Margaret's Church
The event will start from 08:00 hrs. However, all riders will be allocated a start time depending on chosen distance and riders will be notified of their respective start time a few days before the event.
If you are starting from Potters Corner, you should be able to find somewhere to park close by.
If you are starting from Collier Street, we have been assured that the Church Car Park will be open. However, this will not accommodate everyone so an alternative is to park in Marden and ride to the start.
