Following heavy overnight rain,a group of 12 still turned up at Headcorn to join Linton for a ride to Silcocks Farm Shop , St. Michaels. A nice start on the flat, going out towards Boughton Malherbe, where the leading group had to chickane around a number of frogs and their babies crossing the road, without any squelches hopefully. From there, Linton tried to stay on quiet roads past Egerton to Bethersden and the break. As the weather had greatly improved, everyone was able to sit outside for a good natter. Back out ,and a quick stop to sort out a mechanical on Donna’s bike ,then bypassing Hemsted Forest to Golford , Sissinghurst and Frittenden onto the flat again all the way to Headcorn without incident. A distance of 32 miles at 12.8 mph and a moderate 1075 ft ascents. Many Thanks Linton.
