Twelve club members attended the ride from Aylesford to Borough Green. As the number was 12 we split into two groups and thanks to Gary, Bob and Linton for volunteering for safety roles during the ride. We headed off up Rochester Road to the Pilgrims Way, through Eccles and Burham to the under the M2 and back towards and over Pete’s Bridge to Snodland.   The group settled down very quickly and collectively we worked our way through Birling and Addington to head up the nice and long steady hill; Church Road to Offam. Once we reached Crouch we headed down and up to our stop The Village Café and Sandwich Bar, Borough Green.  Great service and food.

Coming back we headed up the short but steep Crouch Lane and headed gently up to the Hurst and down Gover Hill to West Peckham we then all enjoyed our last climb of the day up Butchers Lane! The ride from here was flat and down which was a fine end to an enjoyable ride by all. 35 miles, 1970 feet climbing and at 13.4 mph average.
