A Marden start and with Gary leading a group of 13,they set off on a lovely morning from Marden station..Taking nice flat roads, the ride went out through Staplehurst at a really pacy speed, then continuing on to Frittenden      before joining up with the A28, for a very short while. It was then back onto very rural lanes that eventually led to Woodchurch and the Rare Breeds Centre for the break.Gary maintained the same really good pace on the return by going to Bethersden, where he blamed the only real climb of the day on the earth tilting around with the Summer equinox  Yeah right!. It was then onto Smarden, and past the aerodrome and Staplehurst ,getting ever faster to the finish.A distance of 42 miles at 14.9 average  and about 1000ft ascents without incident.  Thankyou Gary, certainly no hanging about on your ride!
