A dryish morning ,and Russell led a group of 6 from Lenham, and headed off on a fairly lumpy and looping ride to Rodmersham. It was quickly onto the first incline of Hubbard’s Hill, with snow still adorning the verges.Carrying On at the top to Stalisfield Green, and the narrow lanes and general descent to Painters Forstal, then the puff up to Village.before crossing the M2 to Lewson Street and the A2 Teynham,Tonge and Bapchild to the stop at the post office cafe at Rodmersham Green,a most welcomed break.Afterwards,Russell continued the circular route and undulations to Tunstall, Milstead and Wormshill with heavy skies and numerous puddles.Near the top of Stede Hill,Allan and Jonathan sped off ahead whilst the others stopped for a photo shoot in the snow.Unbeknown, the road ahead was closed and Allan and Jonathan took a diversion,to Doddington doing 40 Miles whilst the others went through the barriers and arrived back sooner having done 38.8 miles and 2350 ft ascents,
Thankyou Russell for a really lovely ride.
