Fifteen riders set off from  Bell Lane Staplehurst , completing a 3 mile loop NE of Staplehurst, before crossing the A229 into Pinnock Lane , and heading south, then taking a road which took us past  Blantyre prison. We made our way to and along to the end of Sheephurst Lane, turning left at the end , after 1.6 miles taking the gentle slope of Yewtree Green Road.  We then descended Pixot Hill and  other roads which eventually took us in a beeline to Teapot Island cafe , completing 20 miles before lunch. The homeward route took us into Yalding and along Lughorse Lane, eventually arriving at the base of Linton Hill via Redwall lane. Crossing the A229  , we stayed on small lanes until we ended up on the A229. We headed south until we took Clapper Lane on our right, we stayed on lanes that took us past Staplehurst, to add a few more miles to our trip, before arriving at base from the south. We covered 35 miles at a respectable pace of 14.4 MPH , and ascending 1350 feet.

It was a great ride, thanks Brian - very scenic and sociable. We picked up two stray new members, Sarah and Peter introduced by Chris and Jane on their Vietnam ride earlier this year. We hope they'll be back soon!
